Why alpaca?
-Alpaca fiber is superior in strength – far more durable than wool
-Due to the microscopic air pockets in the fiber, alpaca has unique thermal properties; allowing breathability on warmer days, and likewise trapping body heat in cold weather

-Alpaca fiber does not contain lanolin like wool; therefore harsh chemicals are not needed to process the fiber – better for the environment and causes fewer allergic reactions
-Alpaca is more resilient, therefore pilling or matting less than cashmere
-Alpaca is windproof and very resistant to stains
-Alpaca will not shrink if cared for properly
-Precipitation will not readily penetrate an alpaca garment
